Ferulic acid is a hydroxycinnamic acid, an organic compound.

Ferulic acid contains a highly conjugated system, which has strong absorption of 290~350nm ultraviolet rays. At a concentration of 0.7%, it can effectively prevent skin erythema caused by UVB. It is an effective light stabilizer and has anti-phototoxicity. Widely used in sunscreen products. It can promote the growth of polysaccharide bonds between cells, tighten the skin and tighten pores, and is suitable for loose and aging skin. Ferulic acid has broad-spectrum antioxidant properties; ferulic acid also has the effects of activating skin, whitening, anti-inflammatory, and inhibiting allergies.
